We are pleased to announce that HKIIT and Hong Kong Deepexi Technology Limited (DEEPEXI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 3 November 2025 to strengthen the industry-institution collaboration and accelerate the development of technology talent in Hong Kong. The MoU was signed by Dr John Hui, Principal of HKIIT, and Mr Benjamin Bai, Vice President of DEEPEXI, and witnessed by Dr Eric Liu, Deputy Executive Director of the VTC, and Mr Allen Wong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Software Industry Association.
Under this partnership, the parties will establish a practical framework for sustained cooperation to nurture future‑ready graduates and advance AI‑related technology development. DEEPEXI will provide HKIIT staff and students with access to relevant digital tools and platforms, and support training and knowledge exchange through workshops, seminars, and mentorship. Both parties will jointly undertake capstone projects, hackathons, and research initiatives to translate theory into practice, and DEEPEXI will offer industrial attachment opportunities to local and non‑local HKIIT students to gain hands‑on experience and explore career pathways.
This MoU underscores our shared commitment to aligning vocational and professional education and training with the evolving needs of the technology sector, expanding Hong Kong’s talent pipeline, and creating tangible opportunities for students, educators, and industry partners.
To kick‑start the collaboration, DEEPEXI hosted expert sharing sessions on 11 Nov 2025 for more than 100 HKIIT students from Data Science, AI, and Software Engineering related programmes. Stay tuned for more updates on the HKIIT-DEEPEXI collaboration!
