HKIIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE)
We are excited to announce that the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE) on 19 July 2025 to embark on a strategic collaboration to promote Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET)!
The MoU was signed by Mr Albert Wong, Chairman of AiTLE and Dr John Hui, Principal of HKIIT. Through this partnership, HKIIT and AiTLE will jointly organise a series of competitions, workshops, and taster programmes aimed at enhancing the technical skills and knowledge of secondary school students and teachers. Our shared goal is to promote VPET, deepen students’ understanding of the Information Technology (IT) industry, and ignite their passion for the field of IT. By nurturing IT talent in Hong Kong, we hope to inspire the next generation and contribute to the advancement of innovation and technology development in Hong Kong.
To mark this collaboration, HKIIT and AiTLE, together with Cisco Networking Academy and the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, successfully organised the 21st Cisco Networking Skills Competition 2025. The event was held at the Digital Innovation Co-creation Centre of HKIIT, where over 60 secondary school students from Hong Kong and Macau showcased their skills and enthusiasm for networking.
During the event, our student from the Higher Diploma in Telecommunications and Networking, Mr. Lee Chun Hang, also shared his valuable learning experiences and his journey to winning the Gold Award at the CISCO APJC NetAcad Riders Competition with the secondary students. Additionally, our programme leader, Mr. Dino Ma, introduced the programme and shared insights into the opportunities available for aspiring IT professionals.
We are excited to continue empowering students through more impactful initiatives. Stay tuned for more updates!
